The real path from sensor to alert

Localyn’s monitoring path is: sensor → ESP32 device → network → Localyn API → storage → monitoring → alert. That is the architecture teams run when automated temperature monitoring is enabled for a store.

Manual fridge and freezer logs remain first-class for businesses that still write readings by hand. Sensors extend the same store workspace rather than replacing the compliance model.

  1. Probe or DS18B20-class sensor measures the unit.
  2. ESP32 firmware publishes readings securely to Localyn.
  3. API validates and stores readings against the store and equipment.
  4. Monitoring rules raise alerts when thresholds or missed checks need attention.

What operators see

Managers work from due tasks and section health, not a raw device console. Failed or missing obligations can feed follow-up to-dos so a warm fridge is not only an alert — it becomes work to close out.
