Localyn aims to keep directory listings and guides accurate. This page explains how to report problems and what happens after a report is submitted.
Directory listings
On any public business listing, use Report incorrect information (or the equivalent correction form) to flag issues. Reports are stored for review and do not change the page automatically.
You can report:
- Business closed
- Incorrect name
- Incorrect address
- Incorrect phone number
- Incorrect website
- Incorrect category
- Outdated information
- Duplicate listing
- Other
Where Localyn has a reliable date, listing pages may show Information last updated/checked. Official food hygiene ratings come from Food Standards Agency data and are not edited by Localyn — see data methodology.
To find a listing, start from the business directory or search by name and area.
Guides and editorial content
If a guide, template description, or methodology page contains a factual error, contact us via Contact. Include the page URL and a short description of the issue. Material errors are corrected promptly once verified. See the editorial policy for how guides are researched and reviewed.
What Localyn does not change
- Official FSA food hygiene ratings and inspection dates as published by government sources
- Star ratings or paid review schemes — Localyn does not reward reviews or invent ratings
- Unverified business ownership claims without completing the claim process
